The Journey to The Great Taste Awards – Part 4

It has been several weeks since our last posting, meanwhile we have sent our products off to be tasted and we are now awaiting the results being published by The Guild of Fine Food.

Our two entrants, consisting of a Florentine Steak and a Côte De Boeuf (both pictured in this article) have been selected to showcase the range of quality steaks that we are able to produce.

The judging takes place over several months due to the number of entrants into the awards, with 500 judges in total brought in from across the world, all coming with a background in food and all being specially trained in cuisine. The judges blind taste entrants in teams, this way the judges can come to a balanced expert decision on the products.

They judge’s look for truly great taste, considering quality ingredients, texture, and appearance. Once the judges have tasted they will publish the results, to which we are awaiting. If you are lucky enough to receive a gold star or stars, this is what they mean; –
