Roger Anderton claims Chartered Scientist status

In another surprising but gratified announcement, we at Andertons Ribble Valley Butchers are extremely proud that Roger Anderton has claimed Chartered Scientist status for his contribution of knowledge and practice within the meat industry. It is a recognized professional qualification within the United Kingdom and can only be awarded by the Science Council through its Licensed member organizations. In Roger’s circumstance, the organization was the Institute of Food Science and Technology.

This announcement by the institute comes at a coincidental time in Roger’s continued personal development as he has recently attained his PGDip in Food Safety Management, as he moves onto the final year of his master’s degree.

Chartered Scientist status will provide Roger with valuable professional recognition among fellow scientists across all disciplines and the wider community. The status itself, demonstrates high levels of experience and competence to other professionals, and, ultimately, providing reassurance to our customers that high standards are being met within the industry, particularly on food safety. It is now a recognised title under the EU Directive 89/48/EC.
